ferm LIVING Punctual Shelving System Dusty Blue 1x7
The basic structure is strong and robust with a clear reference to industrial shelving systems. As a nice contrast to the sturdiness all the shelves are gently perforated with small round holes - a detail adding a soft and airy look and a homely feel. And a detail you first discover when you get up close.
Punctual is well crafted and meant to be used. The system is easy to assemble, suited to grow with you and your home, and you can use it to everything from books, boxes, shoes and toys to kitchenware, works of art or beautiful plants.
Our idea was to create a modular system that could easily be expanded – in a vibrant and interesting design that was still so classical that it wouldn’t wear out. We’ve put a lot of hard work and late hours into this and we’re proud to introduce you to Punctual.

Founded by Trine Andersen, ferm LIVING is a Danish company that aims at designing and manufacturing graphic lifestyle products. In Danish, “ferm” means “clever” and is used particularly to describe fine handiwork.
Back in 2005, Trine decided, mostly for fun, to visit a clairvoyant. Trine was a little astonished when the clairvoyant saw a little bird sitting confused on a branch, not knowing which way to fly. This sight was essential for Trine’s decision to follow her dream of starting her own business. Passion for graphic design, interior decoration and fashion is the nerve behind ferm LIVING and the little bird that did not know where to fly next found its way and now sits on top of the company logo.
ferm LIVING’s products are intended for people who are interested in design and who are not afraid of being bold when they decorate. The inspiration for ferm LIVING’s designs comes from many different things: fashion, nature, architecture, flee markets, travelling the world, even old needlework books. Trine has an eye for taking things like retro designs and elements from nature and reinterpreting them in a way that makes them clean and modern.
