MANOR12 founder, Julie Moschenross, discovered the world of textiles late in life after pursuing a career as a contemporary dancer. After attaining her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from York University in 2001, Julie traveled west to further her experience - but was met by injury and the subsequent end of her performance career.
Having always been a hands-on creative individual, Julie knew she had to find another way to express herself artistically. It was while researching schools that Julie stumbled upon the Textile Design Program at Sheridan College and knew immediately this would be the next leg of her journey.
Since graduating from Sheridan College, Julie has been the recipient of many awards and scholarships including awards of excellence from Sheridan College, The Association of Textile Mill Representatives, and The Ontario Crafts Council.
Julie is currently developing a line of textiles for interiors with a focus on hand-printed wallpaper and hand-embroidered upholstery. MANOR12 is the culmination of sophistication and orginality in home décor, and represents her artistic vision. Each elegant piece is handcrafted using only the finest materials and techniques - and speaks to the client who values the one-of-a-kind. MANOR12 products leave a lasting impression - creating a home environment that is both distinctive and inviting.
